PAPER PIECING – STARLIGHT QUILT
This is a super fun and fairly easy quilt in spite of how complicated it looks. No experience with paper piecing or frustrated with your results when you have tried it in the past? Join Linda as she shares her goof proof quick method that will make the process faster and give you great results.
Twin size quilt (or student can make more or fewer blocks). Pattern is $10 and includes 4 paper patterns printed on appropriate paper so the student can get right to work on their first block. A complete kit of all the printed piecing patterns needed for the whole quilt will be available in class if preordered for $25.
Note: Individual paper piece printed patterns will also be available for .25 a page (this allows the student to make a few blocks in the workshop and go home and make more copies on their own.
The quilt can be made in a very scrappy version or a super simple two color version.

Gather your scraps—a good variety is important. You will need the following:

Thin thread, I recommend either Coats and Clarks paper piecing thread (I’ll have some in class for purchase) or Superior So Fine. Both are thin and strong and make removing the paper super fast. A new 90 needle in your machine. Bigger needle, bigger holes = easier removal of the paper. Fine pins—silk pins are my favorite for precise piecing. Sizing of your choice Iron and Board POWER CORD and PEDAL for your machine Cush for your tush. Paper piecing pattern printed out. You need 48 sheets for the quilt. I will have paper kits in class but you must pre-order them. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
