Elissa Ziccardi will be teaching sneaker construction. Make your own one-of-a-kind signature sneaks. Choose your colors, choose your prints. Plan now to create fun kicks!

PLAN & PREP Checklist – provided to participants 30 days prior to workshop for at home review and preparation to come prepared to class.

Sneaker Supplies:
• Sneaker Kit (pre-marked cupsoles & padded insoles). Available at Tandy Leather $59.99
• Sneaker Pattern – included in Sneaker Kit (printed and prepared per Elissa’s Plan and Prep)
• ½ Yard focal fabric of choice for shoe panel EXTERIOR PANEL
• 1 FQ focal fabric of choice for shoe tongue EXTERIOR
• ¾ yard lining fabric (lining both panels and tongues)
• Shoelaces (63-72” for high top sneakers) 55” laces for classic low or mid-top style sneakers
• 1yd – 20” wide Pellon Flex Foam 1-Sided Fusible Foam (FF78F1)
• 1yd – 20” wide Pellon Shape Flex 101 (SF101)
• Eyelets x 50 for high top version (5mm, 3/16) – this accounts for practice and errors
• Sewing Machine (with walking foot preferred)
• Matching thread for quilting/top stitching
• **OPTIONAL SHOE TABS:
• Ribbon – 2 @ 7/8” wide x 4” length (or longer and then cut to size)
• Selvages – 2 @2.5” wide x 3” length (or longer and then cut to size)
• **OPTIONAL SHOE LABELS – 2 (custom labels or handmade/embroidered)

• Saddler’s Needle1

• Hole punching tool – 2mm for the stitch holes and 4mm for the eyelets – options below

• EYELET SETTING TOOL 3/16” (5mm) – Elissa will have tabletop setting tools to use.
If participants have a tabletop setting press and die set sized 5mm (3/16”) they are advised to PLEASE bring to the workshop.

• Sewing Notions – anything you can’t sew without (including but not limited to):
• Straight pins & clips
• Rotary cutter / Scissors / Snips
• Pattern weights (small)
• Small ruler
• Stiletto
• Thimble (optional for comfort)
• MARKING TOOLS – three used
• Sewline Air Eraseable pen OR Chalco Marking Pen (for quilting lines)
• Frixion Erasable Pen (choose a color that is visible on your fabric, will not be seen on finished shoe)
• Sharpie Extra Fine Tip Permanent Marker – BLACK (marking notches that are not visible on finished shoe)

• Full color instructional literature including sneaker assembly, tips & tricks, finishing instructions, and inspirational photos
• Eyelet setting tool – if participants have a table top setting press and die set sized 5mm (3/16”) they are advised to PLEASE bring to the workshop)

**SEE SIZE CHART FOR SELECTING CUPSOLES – measure your foot and refer to the conversion chart. These soles run a smidge big, so I recommend sizing down if you are in between sizes.
Your kit includes sneaker cupsoles, padded insoles and the sneaker pattern and full color instructional literature including assembly, tips & tricks, and inspirational photos. We will be making high-top style sneakers in the workshop. The supply list is the same for all three styles should you want to make additional styles at another time.

This workshop is $50.00 for members. Non-members will be required to pay an additional $10.00 non-member fee.
